Yesterday, I discovered this sculpture “Friends” by Nnamdi Okonkwo in downtown Suwanee, GA, and I fell in love–immediately, irrevocably, completely.
As I gazed upon it, all these words instantly swirled around inside my mind in a wild flurry:
- Incandescent
- Lush
- Comfort
- Solace
- Companionship
- Mother, sister, daughter
- Woman
- Lifelong
- Community
- Trust
- Loyalty
- Love
- Fierce
Don’t you just love their expressions?!
Call to action: Please, share how this sculpture speaks to you in the comments.
They do look so comfortable in every way–physically, emotionally, and soulfully.
I see companionship, community and love although we do need all of the above mentioned to be happy.
Mm, come to think of it, if you have companionship, community, and love, you will probably get most of the rest. And if we could have the entire list that would be FIERCE!
