Save Yourself from Ick

I wish, I wish someone had pounded the quoted words below into my heart and mind from BEFORE the time I was old enough to comprehend the width and depth of human treachery.

And I wish that I would have had the wisdom to listen and heed.

It could have saved me so much heartbreak and misery and icky-ness. So much…

Be careful who you make memories with. Those things can last a lifetime. ~ UGO EZE

Because if these words had been written in my heart and my mind in permanent ink, I would never have spoken to him on the train all those years ago, or later…

  1. Yes, I think we all have those people in our past. It is hard to shake bad memories, but I guess part of living is to learn and move forward. Sometimes we are not only the sum of our choices, but get caught up in other people’s.

    1. I agree that we are not only the sum of our own choices, but also get caught up in other people’s choices too. UGH!

  2. I believe we make these mistakes and have these memories so we ca learn from them. They are also reminders for us to carefully vet the people we let into our lives. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, the shame in on me. I have gained a wealth of knowledge from my past mistakes.
